The 2009 IPPA Happy Faces Day took place place on Wednesday 1st April and Corin Bishop Photography was participating in this annual nationwide fundraising project organised by the Irish Professional Photographers Association benefiting Temple Street Children’s University Hospital.
Members of the public came to visit their local IPPA photographer, Corin Bishop, at Athlone’s Town Centre and Grovelands Childcare Facilities. They had a professional portrait taken for just €25. All the IPPA photographers nationwide were involved in this event and provided their services free of charge, so all of the money raised will go towards the goal of raising €60,000 for a much needed incubator for the neo-natal unit at Temple Street Children’s University Hospital.
In addition to helping raise the essential funds, everyone who participated received a beautifully presented portrait. Furthermore, a selection of portrait images taken on the day will be selected and featured in a 2010 calendar and sold nationwide at €10 each with all proceeds of sales again going to contributing to the goal fund of €60,000.
Here at Corin Bishop Photography Athlone we raised over €3,000! Prizes were kindly sponsored by local and national business. The winners can be spotted in the Happy Faces webpage here.
