I always offer my wedding clients the opportunity for an ‘engagement shoot’. But this time we did Save The Date.
Now, these days the whole ‘engagement shoot’ thing is a bit old hat. Most people have been engaged ages or it’s not really their thing. I tend to call them ‘practice shoots’ or something similar. It’s a really handy thing to do. I get to photograph the couple and know how they act in front of a camera. The couple get to know how I work and get a few tips. Generally it makes the actual wedding day go a LOT smoother!
However there are other uses for this shoot and this is an example. Joanne and Jonathan aren’t getting married till 2015 and haven’t sent out the invites so they wanted to use the shoot to get some cool ‘Save The Date’ images for the invites.
They had a few ideas, gathered a few props and we met at the Glasson Country House Hotel on a very dark and rainy day and tried a few things!
